Darlene Ahuna in Concert!

Halua Kau Ike O' Lani proudly invites you to join the Halau on Saturday, June 28, 2003 at Pearson Park Amphitheatre in Anaheim for a concert given by reknown recording artist, Darlene Ahuna featuring Halau dancers and accompanied by our own Uncle Henry Kamae.

Tickets are now on sale. Take advantage of the special presale price, if tickets are purchased before June 15, 2003. Tickets will be $5 more at the door. There is also a special group rate available for groups of 10 or more if purchased before June 1, 2003. Contact Auntie Judie Kalehua for more information at (714) 995-5709 or drop by Central Park located at 2821 Walker Street, La Palma, CA Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm and Saturday from noon to 3:00 pm.

The doors open at 2:00 pm with crafts and food vendors. The concert starts at 3:00 pm with a break and resumes at 5:00 pm. Those interested in vendor spaces may contact Lillian Asistin at (562) 547-6448 or e-mail at maikapuuawai@aol.com. Applications are due by may 15, 2003.

Halau Kau Ike 'O Lani is a non-profit Polynesian dance troupe from the big island of La Palma, California. Halau kau Ike 'O Lani is dedicated to the promotion and preservation of the Hawaiian culture.

It is with a great love and respect, that Halau Kau Ike 'O Lani perform the hulas in both the ancient "Kahiko" and modern "Auana" forms. In addition, they perform dances representing the island people of Tahiti, Tonga, Samoa, Fiji, and New Zealand.
