Jason Yeung - Honorary Halau Photographer

Jason "Pono" Yeung

Jason Yeung first met the Halau at last year's Orange County Fair . He has been taking pictures of the Halau ever since. Most of the pictures you see on this website have been taken by Jason. He lives in Irvine and works for the Department of Transportation (Caltrans) where he is an Maintenance Engineer. His parents are Annie and Lok Yeung.

Jason says that Auntie Judy gave him his hawaiian name "Pono" because he is a perfectionist. He became involved with the Halau "to share and experience where he grew up and in the Aloha Spirit". Being involved with the Halau has enabled him to meet diverse and different people and experience unique cultures and food. It has given him a sense of family and "belonging".

Jason's interests include computers, photography, reading and listening to music. Jason latest project is creating a marketing DVD of some of the Halau's performances.
MAHALO, Jason!
